Japanese Voice Cast

On 2 September 2026, SummerClip posted that Ved: Recure will feature Japanese voice acting for every character and printed a seven-line cast list in English and Japanese. The same post confirmed that the game would launch in September, with the exact Steam date later listed as 21 Sep 2026. This page is that announcement, cross-checked against the character roster, with notes on which voices you can already match to a demo sprite.

Steam’s language table still lists Simplified Chinese as the only full-audio language besides the new Japanese performance. English and Traditional Chinese remain interface + subtitles. If you want Japanese voices on day one, set the audio language in the client when the option appears.

The seven credits

CharacterJapanese nameVoice actorJapanese credit
Chillo赤悠Ikumi Hasegawa長谷川育美
Plumy紫冬Tomoyo Takayanagi高柳知葉
Kiki慶慶Mai Kadowaki門脇舞以
DariaMami Ozaki尾崎真実
Fei風禾Chinatsu Asahi朝日千夏
Frostelle霜色Megumi Tachiishi立石めぐみ
Zane律真Shojiro Tanaka田中翔二郎

The English Steam news used “Chinatsu Asahi”; the Japanese line used 朝日千夏. Same person. Fei’s English spelling is Fei here even though an older playtest said Feh.

Who you can already hear in a demo

The public demo windows in April and June 2026 shipped before this announcement. Do not assume the festival clients contained the final Japanese tracks. Treat the September post as a launch feature, then verify in the 21 Sep 2026 build.

Visually you can already match three voices to bodies:

  • Hasegawa / Chillo — white-haired slasher, Amplifier screenshot, laundry-yard exploration shot.
  • Takayanagi / Plumy — blonde gun fighter on the property sheet.
  • Asahi / Fei — green-haired melee, canyon slash, unlockable. See how to unlock Fei.

Kiki, Daria, Frostelle, and Zane have names and voices without a demo select tile in the Steam shots we host. That is why the character tier list parks them in an “untested” band.

Why the timing matters

SummerClip is an eight-person indie team. Adding a full Japanese cast this close to a dated Steam launch is a localization event, not a mid-demo patch. The 2 September post also said price would be announced soon. As of the store snapshot used for this wiki, package_groups on the Steam API were still empty — no store price yet. Follow the release date page rather than a leaked number.

If you are wishlist-only until audio is confirmed in a playable build, that is reasonable. The demo can still teach sockets via the buff-chain primer without the final voices.

Language coverage versus this wiki

Steam gameThis wiki
English (UI, subs)English (root paths)
Japanese (UI, subs, and now full character VO)Japanese (/ja/)
Traditional Chinese (UI, subs)Traditional Chinese (/zh/)
Simplified Chinese (UI, subs, full audio)Not offered (site policy)

We skip Simplified Chinese and Russian on purpose. Game terms (Amplifier, Hurt, Combo Finisher, Fei) stay in English inside translations the way players will see them in UI.

Credits hygiene

This list comes from SummerClip’s Steam news and the matching @ClipSummer post. If a later patch adds an eighth fighter or a duplicate VA, this page will move. Do not copy third-party “leaked” casts. For Discord, X, Instagram, and the official YouTube, use official links.

When you write fan notes, attach the Japanese name as well as the English one. 霜色 and Frostelle are the same row; mixing them up in a tier list is how people think there are eight characters.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is English voice acting confirmed?

No. Steam lists English as interface and subtitles. The September announcement is specifically Japanese VO for every character. Simplified Chinese already had full audio.

Will the demo be patched with the new voices before 21 Sep 2026?

SummerClip did not promise a voiced demo patch in that news post. Assume launch day unless a later patch note says otherwise.

Who voices Fei?

Chinatsu Asahi (朝日千夏). Unlock her in the demo via the Fei guide.
