Ved: Recure Equipment Guide

Gear tiles, hidden traits, and why they sit beside the chain — not instead of it.

Equipment Guide

Steam’s store copy promises over 50 unique equipment pieces, including hidden traits that significantly impact in-game buffs. The demo only ships a slice of that catalog. This page is the gear half of the buff-chain primer: what you can actually see on Plumy’s sheet, how numbered tiles sit next to the Weapon header, and why you should not treat headphones as a second chain.

The full game is still dated 21 Sep 2026. Anything not on a screenshot or in a news post stays unlabeled. Pair this with the build planner so a flame tile does not talk you into emptying Defence.

What the Plumy sheet actually shows

The character screen for Plumy (紫冬) is the only complete gear UI in the Steam stills. Beside her gun portrait:

  • A PROPERTY panel: Attack 60 (+266), Defense 30 (+150), HP 1800 (+85), Critical 12 percent (+40 percent), Critical Damage 160 percent (+17 percent), Buff Damage 0 percent (+7 percent).
  • A WEAPON block with the compact gun as a numbered tile.
  • Extra tiles: headphones, a flame, a ghost, a wing.
  • An EQUIP rail that implies you swap pieces rather than stacking infinite jewelry.

Those plus-numbers are not the identity of the run. They are residue. The run is still Combo Finisher, Dash ATK, Special ATK, Extra ATK, Defence, and Hurt. Gear is a modifier on the chain you already deployed. If a hidden trait boosts Fire, that is an argument to keep Sacrificial Explosion Sequence — not an argument to ignore Land of Snow when Frost is the only card that fills an empty Special row.

Chillo’s and Fei’s sheets are not published at the same resolution. Assume they use the same tile language. Do not invent unique relic names for them. When 21 Sep 2026 adds the rest of the seven, this page will grow rows, not fanfic.

Hidden traits, without a glossary

SummerClip has not posted an official trait dictionary. The store line is the whole fact: traits impact in-run buffs. Practical rules until a glossary exists:

  1. If you can read a Fire / Frost / Lightning word on a tile, treat it as a school hint and stay on that package in the buff tier list.
  2. If you cannot read it, ignore it. Do not Refresh three times because a ghost icon “felt unlucky.”
  3. Meta progression between demo runs exists in partial form. A tile that persists after a death is still not a replacement for sockets.
  4. Weapon is a slot, not a class rewrite. Plumy’s gun does not turn Dash ATK into a sniper stance. It changes what her normals look like when Dance! Dance! Dance! procs.

The demo’s 35 buffs are the larger decision space. Fifty gear pieces in the full pitch will multiply that space. Until the paid client lists them, chasing a leaked “best relic” from a comment section is how people brick Chapter 1.

How gear interacts with the draft economy

Chapter 1 still charges Refresh −300 and pays Give Up +150. Gear does not refund those tokens. A strong flame tile plus an off-theme rank-IV card is still a bad Refresh. The demo walkthrough is where the budget lives; this page is only the modifier.

Boss Rush lets you pick buffs freely. That is the place to test “what if every Fire tile is on.” Do not copy a Rush board into a story file because a headphone tile dropped. Restart exists after the 8 June 2026 patch; use it instead of blaming gear.

Plumy. Keep the gun. Prefer tiles that do not fight a Fire or Lightning package. Headphones-as-flavor is fine; headphones-as-identity is not. Read her full module on the Plumy page.

Chillo. Melee wants Defence and Hurt more than a crit-heavy tile. If a wing looks defensive, try it. If it looks like another Combo Finisher, skip. See Chillo.

Fei. Unlock her first (how to unlock Fei). Then treat Dash ATK as the identity row and let gear follow the canyon clip, not Plumy’s gun math.

What the full catalog is selling

Four stages, sixteen bosses, nine schools, 150+ buffs, 50+ pieces. Equipment is the last multiplier, not the first. If you only have time for one systems page besides this one, keep the getting started guide. If your sheet is full of plus-numbers and Amplifier still kills you, the missing row is Defence — which is a combat problem.

When SummerClip publishes trait text, this guide will quote it. Until then, screenshot your tiles, write the English hover in the planner’s “why” column, and refuse to invent relic names for Kiki or Frostelle.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does equipment replace buff chains in Ved: Recure?

No. Tiles modify the chain. Sockets still decide whether a card fires. See the buff-chain primer.

How many gear pieces are in the demo?

A slice. The store pitch is 50+ for the full game. Plumy's screenshot is the only complete rail we can read.

Should I reroll a run for a hidden trait?

Not in Chapter 1. Refresh costs 300. Traits without readable text are not worth the token. Use Boss Rush to experiment.
