Ved: Recure Buff Tier List
Rank the 35 demo cards you can actually read, not the 150+ promise.
The useful Ved: Recure tier list is the card list. Characters are three tiles; buffs are the run. This page ranks demo-visible cards and, more importantly, socket rows, because a rank-IV Dance in the wrong row is garbage.
Mechanics live in the buff-chain primer. This page is only the argument about what to click when three cards appear.
Socket priority (this outranks any card)
- Defence — empty Defence is how Amplifier feels unfair. Fill it before you chase rank IV offense.
- Hurt — June retuned Hurt / Negate. Still the identity of the builder. One Hurt card beats a third Fire sticker.
- Dash ATK — movement that spends. Especially for Fei and anyone fighting zoners.
- Combo Finisher — the flashy row. Take it once Defence exists.
- Special ATK / Extra ATK — overflow. Fill after the verbs you actually press.
If your draft offers a C-tier card for an empty Defence row versus an S-tier card for a full Combo row, take the C. The build planner is a worksheet for that decision.
Card ranks (demo-readable text only)
S — Land of Snow
Every basic hit applies Frost. Five stacks freeze for 2 seconds. Eight seconds of immunity after the thaw. This is a control engine, not a damage sticker. It is S because bosses in this game are large and greedy. The lockout is the balancing act; you need a second school for the downtime. Socket it where basic attacks live, not on Dash.
S — Sacrificial Explosion Sequence
Martyr Mark, 708 martyr damage to the nearest enemy on kill, double if the kill used a Fire buff. That doubling clause is a real synergy, not flavor. It wants a Fire partner (Dance! Dance! Dance! or Combo Finisher fire). On single-target Amplifier with no adds, it drops toward A. On rooms with fodder, it is the reason Fire exists.
A — Dance! Dance! Dance!
Passive, rank IV, each normal hit can explode. High floor, no freeze lockout, pairs with martyr doubling. It is A instead of S because “can” is not “will,” and because it does nothing if you are a dash-heavy Fei who forgot to press normal attack.
A — Lightning Mousetrap
Place a 5-second trap, 2685 on trigger. Plant-and-bait. Excellent on Amplifier’s walk, weaker if you never look at the floor. Flavor text about the power outlet is cute; the card is a skill shot. Socket on Special or Extra depending on how the client labels traps — confirm in-game, do not trust this sentence for the row name.
B — unreadable stickers
The chain screenshot is full of icons we cannot OCR into English names: skull dash, iceberg special, smiley extra, soda Hurt. Those stickers are real cards in the 35. They are B as a band because we refuse to name them wrong. When you hover them in a demo window, write the English title down and they can move.
C — greedy Refresh bait
Any card you Refresh into because it is rank IV and off-theme. Rank is not a school. Spending 300 tokens to turn a working Frost engine into a random smiley is how Chapter 1 runs starve. Give Up +150 is the correct C-tier interaction.
School packages
Fire package: Dance + Sacrificial Explosion Sequence + Combo Finisher fire. Goal: kills that echo. Weakness: single tanky bosses.
Frost package: Land of Snow + ice Special ATK. Goal: create 2-second windows. Weakness: 8-second lockout; you must have a second verb.
Lightning package: Mousetrap + Dash lightning. Goal: punish movement. Weakness: you have to place it.
Hurt package: whatever sits on the Hurt row (shield, soda, music-note). Goal: mistakes become damage. Weakness: you still have to get hit on purpose or survive a clip. Pair with Defence, not instead of Defence.
Mixing all three packages in four rooms is how people decide the builder is random. Pick one package, splash a second after room 5.
What 150+ buffs will do to this list
The full pitch is nine schools and 150+ unique cards. The demo is 35. This list will look quaint on 22 Sep 2026. That is fine. The socket priority at the top of the page should survive, because those rows are the builder’s skeleton. Cards will come and go; Dash ATK will not.
Equipment hidden traits can secretly promote a B sticker into an S. Until we have a glossary, do not reroll a run because a headphone tile “felt unlucky.”
For festival routing, take this list into the demo walkthrough and stop reading ranks after the first boss. Amplifier will teach you more than a letter grade. When a June-style Negate patch lands, reread patch notes before you argue on Discord.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best buff in the Ved: Recure demo?
Land of Snow if you can land basics; Sacrificial Explosion Sequence if the room has kills to echo. Neither works in the wrong socket.
Should I always Refresh for rank IV?
No. Refresh costs 300. A rank III Fire card that matches your chain beats a rank IV off-theme card.
Where is Negate on this list?
Not ranked. We have patch language, not card text. When a Negate card is screenshot-complete, it will land in Hurt/Negate discussion on the buff-chain primer.
