Ved: Recure Character Tier List

This character tier list is a demo first-hour ranking, not a launch bible. You can currently select Plumy and Chillo on a fresh file, then Fei after a Chapter 1 clear. Kiki, Daria, Frostelle, and Zane are confirmed names with Japanese voices and no public demo kit. Ranking those four would be fanfiction.

Plumy — S for learning

Plumy is the blonde gun fighter (紫冬, Tomoyo Takayanagi). The property panel gives you a numeric comfort blanket (Attack 60, HP 1800, Crit 12 percent) even though the run is about sockets. That combination is why she is the recommended first click in getting started: you can see numbers move when gear tiles change, and you can still fail a chain if you ignore Dash ATK.

Take her if your question is “how does draft economy work?” Put explosion passives on normal-attack sockets. Do not take Land of Snow unless you are willing to sit in basic-attack range; a gun fighter can do that, but it is a choice, not a default.

Chillo — S for bosses

Chillo (赤悠, Ikumi Hasegawa) is the white-haired slasher. She is already standing in front of Amplifier in the Steam still at 2000 HP. If your question is “how do I not die to a mecha arm?”, pick her. Defence and Hurt sockets make more sense when you are in claw range.

She is slightly worse than Plumy as a first ever action-game character because the camera is busier in melee. Fixed camera and shake 0 exist for her. Once those settings are set, she teaches the real game faster than Plumy, because Ved: Recure’s store copy is block, dodge, strike — not gun kiting.

Fei — A until unlocked, then A+ for melee mains

Fei (風禾, Chinatsu Asahi) cannot be S on a fresh file because she does not exist on a fresh file. After you follow how to unlock Fei, she becomes the melee alternative to Chillo with bigger blue slashes and a canyon clip that already looks like a Dash ATK commercial.

We keep her in A rather than automatic S because:

• You spend your first Chapter 1 without her, so her “winrate” in a festival window is delayed.
• Her module is not documented beyond the still. We will not invent a stance system.
• Boss Rush is where she probably shines, and Rush is post-clear content.

If you main melee in other character-action games, unlock her immediately and ignore Plumy thereafter. That is a preference, not a global S.

Unproven four

Frostelle / 霜色 is the only one with a naming tell (frost). Land of Snow already exists as a card, so a Frost specialist at launch is plausible. Still Unproven.

Zane / 律真 is the male credit (Shojiro Tanaka). No sprite in our Steam set.

Kiki / 慶慶 (Mai Kadowaki) and Daria / 黛 (Mami Ozaki) have names, voices, and zero demo HUD. They go in the same Unproven drawer.

When 21 Sep 2026 adds modules, this table gets four new rows and Plumy’s S may evaporate. That is healthy. Come back through the updates hub.

Matchups versus demo bosses

• Amplifier (open field): Plumy and Chillo both fine. Plumy uses the grass; Chillo uses the clash. Fei unknown until you reclear with her.
• CD mecha (night, projectiles): Hurt-heavy melee (Chillo/Fei) may eat discs. Plumy’s range is the safer first try. See the boss guide.
• Rockwheel / Whirlord (Rush only): No character restriction. Pick the module you already socket in your sleep.

Method, so you can yell at us fairly

Ranks use: official screenshots, Steam news, the 2 September voice list, and the structure of the demo (two starters, one gate). They do not use imaginary winrates. If your Plumy run died because Defence was empty, that is a buff problem, not a character problem.
